Project Dream Factory

“You have to dream before your dreams can come true” - Abdul Kalam

Dream Factory is a center that provides the children with an Afterschool Program. Most of these children attend Government schools and therefore are not given any type of extra care or assistance. A vast majority of the children are first generation learners and their parents do not have the educational knowledge or the time to guide these children and hence due to the lack of motivation and encouragement, the children drop out of school. Dream Factory was started with the hope of inspiring them to aspire more for themselves. The project was named so, with the hope of encouraging the children to dream big dreams for themselves as well as to support the children in turning their dreams into reality.

Project Nutri Meal

The most terrible poverty is loneliness and the feeling of being unloved” -Mother Teresa

Most of these children come from broken families, single parent headed families and abusive circumstances. Under the Project Little More Love, we aim to build the children from the inside out. We therefore give importance to the child’s issues. No matter how small a problem might be, as long as it bothers our children, we make it our business to find a solution to ease their pain. We offer counselling when needed, but beyond that we choose to be their friends and mentors when they require it. We celebrate various days and we organize competitions for them to exhibit their talents. Awareness camps, movie nights and distribution of stationery and clothes every year make Rakshak a haven of laughter, hope and love. We believe that every child must know what it feels like to be loved, accepted and important. For after all, as Mother Teresa says, the lack of love is the most terrible poverty any child can face. At Rakshak, we strive to ensure that lovelessness would not be something our children have to fight against.
